Taking Control of your Lightroom Catalog
I am very excited to be offering, in conjunction with the Los Angeles Center of Photography, a webinar titled:
Taking Control of Your Lightroom Catalog -
Tips, fixes, and settings to make your Lightroom life easier and more manageable.
Saturday, April 2, 2022 - 9:00am - 12:00pm
I work with a lot of Lightroom clients one-to-one, but often I get called when their catalog has become a mess: missing photos, unorganized folders, and a fear of losing more.
The problem is we all love to take photos and work with them in Lightroom, but getting them organized in Lightroom can often take a back seat, and we can then find ourselves in trouble.
I thought it would be a good time to put a lot of this information into a 3-hour webinar and reach and help a lot of people all at once.
These are the topics I will cover:
A simple and and easy to understand explanation of exactly how Lightroom works with your images.
How to find and re-link lost images, and make sure you never lose any more again.
Setting up an import and export system that provides you with consistent and manageable results.
How to deal with duplicates, triplicates and more.
Pulling back the curtain on Lightroom Catalog settings and preferences.
DNG vs. Raw, which is better?
Working faster, smarter, and more efficiently with your images.
Understanding how Lightroom works, and setting it up correctly from the start is so critical in avoiding these problems, but even if you don’t, it’s never too late to start doing things right. Having confidence in the way you work with Lightroom, and learning a few good practices can make all the difference, save you time, and help you get back to taking pictures instead of trying to manage them.
